We are sending a message to lawmakers who represent all citizens of the United States in an effort to modify language contained in the 13 Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. While we acknowledge we are not the first group to formally request a language change, we do acknowledge that this is the time to remedy past wrongs, starting with this simple, yet powerful, change.
